Antenova Ltd has released two new high performing multi-band High Dielectric Antenna (HDA) embedded antennas for mobile handset and portable device applications; a 4mm low profile penta-band antenna and a six-band antenna. Antenova's 4mm low profile penta-band HDA antenna, said to be the industry's thinnest five-band antenna, is suitable for ultra-thin mobile handsets, while the six-band HDA antenna can used for mobile handsets, PDAs and UMPCs.

Antenova's 4mm low profile penta-band antenna covers the GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900 and WCDMA2100 bands and is also suitable for CDMA/TDMA 850 and 1900. With a small volume of about 1cm³ and an impressively low 4mm height, this antenna is the thinnest penta-band antenna in the world and offers over 50 percent average terminal radiation efficiency over all five bands. The hexa-band antenna covers the same five cellular bands plus the 2.4GHz band for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi applications, has a volume of less than 5.8cm³ and offers an average terminal efficiency of greater than 50 percent over all five cellular bands and 40 percent efficiency in the 2.4GHz band.
