PCTEL Inc. has released its next generation, standards compliant WiMAX product portfolio, which includes an 802.16 WiMAX basestation antenna platform and a high performance ultra-wideband antenna.

The wideband WiMAX basestation antenna platform provides a complete portfolio of products covering global WiMAX spectrum allocations. Antennas are available in two wideband versions covering the 2.3GHz to 2.7GHz and 3.3GHz to 3.8GHz bands. The portfolio includes mechanical tilt, mechanical electrical tilt and remote electrical tilt antennas. The new antennas satisfy a variety of gain and beamwidth options to cover deployment scenarios for urban, suburban and rural needs.

For mobile applications, PCTEL's mobile WiMAX antenna provides ultrawideband performance, covering 2.3GHz to 3.8GHz in one single unit. The antenna provides typical gain of 5dBi and a VSWR of 1.7. The antenna is compatible with PCTEL's industry standard mount that permits permanent, magnetic or trunk lid mounting options.
