ANADIGICS Inc. has released its AWE6174 quad-band Polar EDGE power amplifier module for 3G wireless handsets and equipment. Designed to meet all requirements for GSM/GPRS and EDGE operations in dual-, tri-, or quad-band handsets, the AWE6174 Polar EDGE power amplifier module supports use of DC/DC converter to modulate bias voltage and reduce current consumption.



The device includes separate amplifiers for GSM850/900 and DCS/PCS bands optimized for high performance in both GMSK and 8PSK modes in 6x6mm package. It incorporates InGaP-Plus technology for temperature stability and ruggedness.
