The BlueVOX-QFN chip and reference design reduce the cost of Bluetooth headsets. It is said to be the only Bluetooth headset chip available that enables the use of a low-cost, two-layer, single-sided PCB. With a +5.5dBm transmitter and a sensitive -88dBm receiver, the device offers desirable RF performance.
The device's internal battery charger uses an advanced charging algorithm that includes the measured ambient temperature to prevent overcharging. In addition, the charging circuitry can also support low cost NiMH batteries.
