Vishay has released a high-frequency 75-V half-bridge nchannel MOSFET driver IC that delivers a 2-A peak sink and source gate driver current.
The SiP41111 is well suited for automotive applications, which often require voltages up to 40V or 60V. The 75V MOSFET driver may be used in high-intensity discharge lamps in automobiles, as well as in high-voltage buck converters, push-pull converters, full- and half-bridge converters, active clamp forward converters, power supplies, motor control, and class D audio systems in a variety of end products.
The SiP41111 features a maximum bootstrap supply voltage up to 75 V, accommodates a broad supply voltage range from 9 V to 13.2 V, and is capable of driving a 1,000pF load with typical rise and fall times of 10 ns. Typical delay match and high-low match times of 6.5 ns enable the fast propagation times required for multi-megahertz circuits. An on-chip 1.5-£[ bootstrap diode helps to reduce external component count. Undervoltage protection pushes the outputs to low in the event of an undervoltage event, after which the device turns on again automatically.
The SiP41111 is pin-compatible with the HIP2100 and HIP2101. Offered in the SOIC-8 and thermally enhanced PowerPAK SOIC packages, samples and production quantities of the SiP41111 are available now, with lead times of 8 to 10 weeks for larger orders.
