(§Þ³N·s»D, 2007¦~3¤ë2¤é)

NXP announced the launch of GreenChip III ¡V its third generation of energy-efficient ICs for Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS). Designed specifically for notebook adapters and LCD TVs, the new GreenChip III TEA1750 reduces no-load standby power consumption to 200 - 300 mW ¡V far below US ENERGY STAR requirements and a reduction of over 200 mW in standby power consumption compared to conventional solutions.

The GreenChip III TEA1750 features an innovative design that integrates the flyback controller and power factor controller (PFC) in a single SO16 package, enabling plug-and-play designs for power supply designers. Unlike traditional adapter solutions, the PFC switches to low-power burst mode during standby rather than shutting off completely. This patent-pending solution allows the flyback converter to operate more efficiently ¡V in a range from 300V ¡V 400V rather than powering up from 90V ¡V enabling cost savings in required capacitors and magnetics, smarter system power management and increased reliability.

The GreenChip III TEA1750 is available immediately and will be showcased at the Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC) in Anaheim, California this week.
