The latest addition to the ZSP family of processor solutions, LSI Logic's LSI403US digital signal processor (DSP) is a low-cost, low-power voice processor that delivers a mix of high performance and a small footprint — necessary in Voice over Wi-Fi (VoWi-Fi) applications such as cell phones, PDAs and other handheld devices.
Based upon the ultra-low-cost, low-power LSI403LC processor, the LSI403US features a sleek 144 LBGA (7 mm x 7 mm) package, dual TDM ports for audio ADC/DACs, and interfaces for additional wireless devices, such as WLAN and Bluetooth. The Z.Voice software library of industry-standard VoIP algorithms and the ultra-thin packaging allows system designers to benefit immediately from the LSI403US.
The LSI403US is immediately available and is priced below $4.00 in 100K volume shipments. |
